Why is EPDM sustainable?

EPDM is a very high quality product and this means that an EPDM membrane in only one layer of 1.2 mm can be used. EPDM still has an expected useful life of more than 50 years! When this is compared with normal bitumen where 5 mm bitumen is necessary for a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years it means an additional material consumption of 8 to 12 times the amount needed for our EPDM. This is true not only for the production of the material, but also for the various transports (raw materials, finished products and waste), and the processing of the waste. All in all EPDM is an easy way for a significant contribution to the reduction of CO2 emissions.
